Really incredible hostel for the price. The rooms are big enough to be comfortable. The beds, while not the most comfortable, aren't too bad either. I was really worried going into this about the whole "hostel" concept, as I'd never been in one. In reality the hostel part just means you are on a floor with 3 other small rooms like yours, and you have one shared normal sized bathroom to share. But this was never even slightly an issue, since I only saw the other people staying there once during my stay. The great part of this deal is the price; very cheap considering you are getting a room that is right next to King Street and the shuttle stops to go all over the rest of the city. Overall if you are looking for a dirt cheap place to stay with all the essentials, in a great location, with free parking, this is the place for you.

We stayed in the Kendall Suite which was absolutely everything we needed. We had our own entrance behind the building and a parking spot right next to the door. There was a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. It was perfect for a girls weekend and the location was the best part. We were able to walk to everything on King St and Uber to the beach.

Stayed at the annex. Very clean with a spacious bathroom on second floor. Location was right off king street with only a few seconds of walking to be in the middle of it all. Mattress was solid too. (Not squeaky, too hard,or too soft). Ear plugs were provided if any noise was an issue.

Great little place. Very affordable. Location is great just a few minutes walk to king st . Parking lot is nice. Bring a pillow the ones provided are a bit small. No TV in the rooms . There is one down stairs that is available.

Great place to stay! Very clean room, clear instructions on entering and all other details, great location that’s close to downtown and the happening King St. The cottage also has a nice vibe. We stayed at the ‘India’ room which had a private bathroom as well. To note: Room sizes are small and you might hear creaky noises if neighbors are walking around. If you’re looking to spend time mostly outside and need a clean nice place that’s close to downtown, this is a great option.

We loved our time at this hotel! Clean, convenient, and affordable. Guests should be aware that the location is near King Street and it can be noisy at night as people go home from the bars late at night, but the hotel provided earplugs in the room and we were happy with our stay. Thanks Notso Hostel for a great trip to Charleston!

Stayed for one night and it was good! It was our first experience with a hostel and I don't mind it! It's basically just staying in a big house with a bunch of other people, only everyone has a private room. Other guests were courteous and mostly quiet. Clean and comfortable beds and quiet area. It was a 3 minute drive to the hospital I needed to be at, and also about a 2 minute walk to King Street! Next to a bagel shop as well and coffee shop.

Would absolutely recommend staying here! The house is in a quiet neighborhood and is a 5-15 minute walk from many restaurants and shops, and about 30-40 minute walk to the downtown area. The floors are a bit creaky, so would recommend booking an upstairs room, which we did, and our room came with a white noise machine which was a nice addition. Despite the creaky floors, the house was quiet and easy to sleep in. The kitchen has dishes, a fridge, microwave and toaster oven.

Stayed here for a single night when the surprise 2025 Charleston snow/ice storm hit! We were not expecting it in the slightest but the hosts made sure we were warm and safe and taken care of and we had the best time in this gorgeous space! Staff member Wren especially helped us stay comfy and was so communicative. We will definitely stay again!

Great hostel and location, more affordable and laid back old fashion style. Free breakfast with oats & grits too. Although front porch patio could be improved, Would definitely come back
